{"id":60,"date":"2011-07-15T00:07:27","date_gmt":"2011-07-15T00:07:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.edcortes.ph\/?p=109"},"modified":"2021-07-11T08:06:35","modified_gmt":"2021-07-11T08:06:35","slug":"the-wolf-and-the-lamb","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/emcortes.com\/?p=60","title":{"rendered":"The Wolf and The Lamb"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.edcortes.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/The-Wolf-and-The-Lamb2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-121 aligncenter\" title=\"The Wolf and The Lamb\" src=\"http:\/\/www.edcortes.ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/The-Wolf-and-The-Lamb2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>By Aesop<\/p>\n<p>The WOLF, meeting with a Lamb astray from the fold, resolved not to lay violent hands on him, but to find some plea to justify to the Lamb the Wolf\u2019s right to eat him.<\/p>\n<p>He thus addressed him: &#8220;Sirrah, last year you grossly insulted me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Indeed,&#8221; bleated the Lamb in a mournful tone of voice, &#8220;I was not then born.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Then said the Wolf, &#8220;You feed in my pasture.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;No, good sir,&#8221; replied the Lamb, &#8220;I have not yet tasted grass.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Again said the Wolf, &#8220;You drink of my well.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;No,&#8221; exclaimed the Lamb, &#8220;I never yet drank water, for as yet my mother\u2019s milk is both food and drink to me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Upon which the Wolf seized him and ate him up, saying, &#8220;Well! I won\u2019t remain supperless, even though you refute every one of my imputations.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>My Point<\/p>\n<p>If in the first place you want to insist that you are right of your accusation against your subordinates, what is\u00a0the use then of\u00a0asking\u00a0them to justify or to reason out. Their explanations are\u00a0useless\u00a0for you are not interested to listen.
