{"id":190,"date":"2012-02-26T09:04:13","date_gmt":"2012-02-26T09:04:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.edcortes.ph\/?p=300"},"modified":"2021-07-11T05:41:52","modified_gmt":"2021-07-11T05:41:52","slug":"the-importance-of-valuing-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/emcortes.com\/?p=190","title":{"rendered":"The importance of valuing time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was reminded with a short story comparing two employees, Employee A and Employee B, who have given the same load of job for a day by their boss.\u00a0 They have different approaches and techniques in accomplishing the task and though it was not a competition on who finishes the job first, it was Employee A who is more skillful and smarter completed the task ahead. And considering that it was the only task given for a day, Employee A had a privilege to sit down, waiting and letting the time passes until the end of the day. When their boss checked the outputs, he lauded both employees for the job well done.<\/p>\n<p>By looking into the situation cited, I commend the performance of Employee A. However, it would be more productive for him if he utilized the remaining time for either planning for his next day task or investing a time for self-improvement rather than by just sitting down and waiting for the close hour of the day. \u00a0\u201d<strong>Carpe Diem<\/strong>\u201d as Romans said. These words have great meaning for our everyday life \u2013 these means \u201cLive the Day\u201d or better said \u201cOrganize your day.<\/p>\n<p>Let us not waste every single time of the day especially the remaining privilege time at work.
