The young man was at the end of his rope.<\/p>\n
Seeing no way out, he dropped to his knees in prayer.<\/p>\n
“Lord, I can\u2019t go on,” he said.<\/p>\n
“I have too heavy a cross to bear.”<\/p>\n
The Lord replied, “My son, if you can\u2019t bear it\u2019s weight, just place your cross inside this room.<\/p>\n
Then open another door and pick any cross you wish.” The man was filled with relief.<\/p>\n
“Thank you, Lord,” he sighed, and did as he was told.<\/p>\n
As he looked around the room he saw many different crosses; some so large the tops were not visible.<\/p>\n
Then he spotted a tiny cross leaning against a far wall.<\/p>\n
“I\u2019d like that one, Lord,” he whispered. And the Lord replied,<\/p>\n
“My son, that\u2019s the cross you brought in.”<\/p>\n
